Mandatory Peppol delivery settings
There are two settings that make Peppol delivery mandatory:
-
Require the presence of a UBL document.
- Block invoices when Peppol delivery fails.
Invoices blocked by either of these settings will automatically appear under 'Invoices requiring attention' on the dashboard.
Require the presence of a UBL document
You can set invoices for business customers to only be sent if a UBL document is present. If the UBL document is missing, the invoice will be blocked until it is added. This ensures that an invoice can always be sent via the Peppol network, provided Peppol is activated in Payt.

Require UBL documents for private customers
If you want UBL documents to be mandatory in all cases, including for private customers, contact the service desk. They can help integrate this into your invoice workflow.
Block invoices on failed Peppol deliveyr
You can set invoices to be automatically blocked when Peppol delivery fails. This allows you to first investigate why the delivery failed (e.g. due to an incorrect identifier) and retry without progressing the invoice workflow further.
Make Peppol delivery mandatory for business customers in specific countries
In some cases, you may only want Peppol delivery to be mandatory for business customers in specific countries. After activating the mandatory Peppol delivery settings (requiring UBL documents and/or blocking invoices on failed delivery), you can select the countries to which these settings apply.
The requirement will then only apply to the countries you entered. Note: always use valid two-letter country codes.

Default settings
Payt determines, based on the country where your administration is registered, whether these settings should be activated by default. Currently, Belgium is the only country where mandatory Peppol delivery settings are active by default.
