Find out how to change another user's settings.

There are a few things you can do with other users in Payt - such as deactivating them, changing their roles, or adjusting their language settings.

Navigating to the user list

To edit a user, go to your organisation settings. First, head to the organisation dashboard by clicking the Payt logo in the top-left corner of the application. Then, in the top-right corner, click 'Organisation settings' and select the 'Users' tab on the left.

Now, find the user you'd like to edit in the list. From here, you can either deactivate them or update their details.

Deactivating a user

If someone is no longer working at your company, you might want to deactivate their account. In the user select the 'Lock' icon next to their name. Once deactivated, they won't be able to log in to Payt anymore.

Removing a connection user after deactivation

If the user you're deactivating is also the connection user (the user connected to your accounting package), the automatic import will stop working. In that case, you'll need to delete and reconnect the accounting package with another user with full permissions. If you need help, contact our service desk.

Editing a user

To edit a user, click the 'Pencil' icon in the user list.

Among other things, you can adjust:

  • First and last name
  • Email address (needs confirmation from the new address)
  • Display language in Payt
  • User permissions in Payt

Please note: Only users with full permissions at the organisation level can edit or deactivate their users.
