How do I use OData to import additional customer information from Business Central?

OData (Open Data Protocol) allows you to flexibly import and export data from Business Central. Within the integration between Payt and Business Central, this can be useful for retrieving additional customer information, such as alternative email addresses or other customer details.

What do I need to do to import customer OData data into Payt?

  1. Make sure OData is correctly configured in Business Central and that the fields you want to import into Payt are available.
  2. In Business Central, open the 'Web Services' section.
  3. Locate the OData URL for Customer Ledger Entries and copy it.
  4. Send the URL to the Payt service desk or your implementation specialist.

Using this URL, Payt will know which information to retrieve from which field so that the data can be correctly imported into the software.
