How do I activate the 'Early signalling' module in Payt?

With the 'Early signalling' module, you can easily report payment arrears to the municipality.

What is early signalling and how does Payt support it?

Early signalling is a collaboration between companies and municipalities to detect payment arrears of private customers as early as possible. By informing the municipality about these arrears early, help can be offered quickly and bigger problems can be prevented.

Payt has developed the 'Early signalling' module for this purpose. This module automatically recognises which customers need to be prepared for early signalling, so that signals can easily be forwarded to the municipality via the correct party.

How do I activate the “Early signalling” module?

If you want to activate the module, contact the Payt service desk to discuss costs and setup. For activating this module, some information is required:

  • BKR: Identification number
  • Inforing: Identification number and API key

You can find this information in your BKR and Inforing environments.

Please note: You can only activate the module if your company is basedin the Netherlands.

What should I pay attention to when activating the “Early signalling” module?

It is mandatory to provide your customers’ birth dates to the municipality for early or crisis reporting. Therefore, Payt must be able to import the birth dates of your (private) customers. Contact the service desk to discuss how to import this information into Payt.

How does the “Early signalling” module work in general?

Once you have activated the module, it works as follows:

  1. Based on predefined conditions, customers are automatically prepared for early or crisis signalling.
  2. Using bulk actions, you can easily forward customers to the municipality. Payt determines, based on postcode, whether this should go to BKR or Inforing.
  3. Payt receives whether the customer has accepted help from the municipality and automatically pauses the file.
