2025-06 Payt Update: June

Every day, we work on new features, improved user-friendliness, and optimal performance of Payt. In June, we have once again implemented several improvements that we are excited to share with you.

Set up a custom payment reference

In your administration settings, you have long been able to define which payment reference to include in emails and letters to your customers. Recently, we’ve added the ability to customise this payment reference by adding text or selecting different variables.

To update this setting:

  1. Open your administration settings via the cogwheel icon in the top-right corner of Payt.
  2. Click on the 'Payments' tab on the left.
  3. Under ‘Payment reference’, select ‘Custom payment reference’.
  4. Adjust the reference as needed by adding your preferred variables and optional text.
  5. A preview at the bottom will show an example of the generated payment reference.

Direct debit mandate visible to customers

Customers can now view their direct debit mandate in the online invoice portal checkinvoices.com. This allows them to see which mandate is registered with your company and, if needed, to revoke it easily in order to update their details.
